Downeast Conservation Blueprint Kick Off Event

Wednesday, May 21st, 2025

Moore Auditorium, Schoodic Institute, Acadia Drive, Winter Harbor, ME 04693

The Downeast Conservation Network (DCN), in collaboration with community partners, invites you to design a conservation blueprint for the Downeast region. This initial gathering will hold space for stakeholders to come together, share their vision for the Downeast region, and determine which tools and resources are needed to fulfill the vision.

DCN is convening a variety of stakeholders including county planners, municipal officials, forestry groups, and land trusts, and more for a discussion centered around the future of eastern Maine’s communities, forests, and rivers. We aim to craft a region-wide blueprint for growth, conservation, and resiliency in the coming decades. Most importantly, this plan will integrate cultural and economic land uses as part of a conservation strategy. This is an opportunity to build a more inclusive and connected community vision and discover new ways to work together.

We hope you will join and share your important perspective!

Coffee, lunch, and snacks will be provided.

As the event gets closer, we will share more information about the agenda for the date, relevant resources and information, and desired outcome. For now, please save the date and register!
